Lafayette was one of the most enriching and fulfilling experiences in my life, partly in thanks to the people I met along the way in DTD. I was also Social Media Chair for the Lafayette College Equestrian Team and President of the South Asian Students Association. While I have no set plans for the future, I hope to work in either the legal sector, government jobs or entry-level consulting before returning to higher education in the next 2-4 years.

Joining Delt during sophomore spring was a great decision as I’ve met some very close friends in Delt. I wish the best for all the brothers! Personally, I will be attending Seton Hall University School of Law in the fall.

Joining DTD was one of the best decisions I made here at Lafayette. I made some of my best friends on campus and people I will hopefully continue to have relationships with for the rest of my life. After college I plan to attend medical school.

When I joined Delt my sophomore fall, I was not sure what the future would hold for me. Looking back on my experience, that decision was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have built so many great relationships with brothers, and have had so many memorable experiences that will last me my lifetime. After graduation, I will be working as a Mechanical Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding.

I am thankful for the lifelong relationships Delt has given me and I look forward to what our future holds. After graduation, I will be teaching English in Austria for a year, then returning home to enter the engineering industry.

Joining DTD was one of the best decisions I made at Lafayette College. I’ve made lifelong friendships and many great memories. I will truly miss each one of my brothers. B.S. Civil Engineering

Carroll Phillips Bassett Prize: Awarded annually to senior students deemed most outstanding by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

When I started at Lafayette, joining this organization was not in my plan of what I thought my college experience would be. Now I cannot imagine it any other way. The relationships, experiences, and advice that I have received from my brothers over the years are something that I will cherish. Over my time in the Nu chapter, I have served as Social Chairman, Housing Director, and the RA of the shelter. Outside of DTD, I am the captain of the club baseball team. After Lafayette, I will be headed back home to Syracuse, NY to start working full-time for C&S companies where I will start as a Staff Engineer in the field of Highway Design.

Joining DTD was one of the best decisions I’ve made at Lafayette. I’ve made great friends and fond memories. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the last two years of college, and am tremendously thankful for being given the chance to have a genuine college experience. This last semester I served as New Member educator for Delt, and outside of Delt I was treasurer of the German Club.

Samuel O. Emery ‘24

Kennebunk, ME

B.S. Mechanical Engineering

Words do not describe the value I gained both at Lafayette and within DTD. After joining in the Spring of 2022, I quickly found myself at home. With my time as Delt community service chair and eventually Vice President I was taught a lot about what real responsibility and time management looks like. Having to be in charge of some of your closest friends and brothers is a hard dilemma to balance but it taught me lessons that I hope everyone could have a chance to learn. Although it's hard to let go of the best 4 years of my life, I’m excited to say that I will be working as an Electrical Systems Protection Engineer at TRC. I’m excited for the next chapter in my life where the lifelong friendships I’ve made in Delt will never be forgotten.

Delta Tau Delta has served as a source of comfort and support for me since joining it my junior fall semester. I am grateful for my time here and will always remember the little things like going to Reeder after a long day of classes or grabbing dinner with my brothers. I have met incredible people and gained experiences that have bettered me as a person. While my time at Lafayette is over, the friendships I have made here will continue as I begin my career as a Sote Development Civil Engineer at Tetra Tech.

Trevor Robert Lenig ‘24

My time at Lafayette was incredible. Over my four years, I was involved with the Ultimate Frisbee team and with the IEEE chapter on campus. I have met lifelong friends and I have been able to learn a lot about myself and how to be a better person throughout my Lafayette career. Being involved with DTD is the best decision I have ever made, and over the past three years I have come across countless individuals who I am lucky to say are friends of mine for life. I will be pursuing a Masters degree in either Financial Engineering or Comp/Quant Finance over the next two years.

Jacob Matthew Lujanac ‘24

I am immensely thankful for the invaluable memories and experiences Lafayette has given me during these past 4 years. Prior to rushing during my junior spring, I had been skeptical whether Greek Life was something for me, yet I’m grateful that this organization has managed to convince me otherwise. During my time in DTD, I served as the Chairman of the Ritual, and outside of the fraternity, I was involved in the Taekwondo club. After graduation, I will be pursuing an M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University.

The 3.5 years that I spent at Lafayette have been some of the best of my life. I am proud to say that outside of Delt I have been a part of the Ski and Snowboard Team and the Steel Bridge Team. Within Delt, I have met amazing guys and have made friendships that will last far beyond graduation. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as the Director of Risk Management, Brotherhood Chair, and Social Chair. These positions have taught me valuable skills that I will take with me into the professional world. Following graduation, I am joining Collins Engineers Inc. in East Greenwich, Rhode Island as a bridge engineer. I will be forever grateful for my time in Delt and I will always remember these last 3 years fondly.

My time at Lafayette was excellent. I spent most of my four years working with the Office of Development and Office of Alumni Relations. They taught me the value of community partnership and teamwork. Outside of that I met some great people and built relationships that will last for life. Next year I will be working as a Process Engineer for Procter & Gamble.

A.B. Policy Studies

DTD represented one of the communities which best contributed to my flourishment at Lafayette. During my four years here I connected with some of the most intelligent and friendly people through both my participation in DTD as well as membership on the ultimate frisbee team. While I do not have any set job or graduate plans lined up I am eager to begin the next part of my journey and explore fields related to environmental and energy policy and consulting. Knowing that I have people in DTD and at Lafayette who I can comfortably reach out to for advice or just to hang out with helps me maintain excitement for the future.

Martin Coyne Price ‘24

I had no plans to join Greek life when I decided to study at Lafayette. Deciding to rush as a junior was one of the best decisions I ever made when studying here. I have gained many amazing friends and had such great experiences. After graduation, I will be attending William and Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business to study accounting.

Being a member of DTD has greatly shaped my time at Lafayette. Although I joined later than many other brothers, I immediately felt welcomed into the tightly-knit community. Through DTD, I have been able to make many connections and take part in many programs around campus such as community engagement and philanthropy. After graduation, I hope to use my degree in Policy Studies to work on public policy related to renewable energy issues.

Outside of Delt, I was a member of Engineers Without Borders, a math tutor for Calculus Cavalry, and a member of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and Pi Mu Epsilon Math Honor Society.
