Daniel Lupia '16 elected VP of Alumni Interfraternity & Sorority Board
Daniel Lupia ‘16 was recently elected as vice president of the Alumni Interfraternity & Sorority Board, or AISB, which strives to enhance undergraduate engagement and alumni connections in Lafayette fraternity and sorority life.
Lupia, now a senior financial analyst for GTT, was a double major in economics and international affairs at Lafayette. He will serve in this position during the 2024-25 academic year.
As vice president, he’ll work with Jake Bates, the director for fraternity and sorority life at the college. Alongside Bates, other members of the college administration will attend AISB meetings to talk with FSL alumni like Lupia.
Members of AISB provide a point of contact. The organization also publishes a newsletter once a semester, which last semester promoted Delta Tau Delta’s activity and accomplishments on campus — even highlighting the chapter’s record five awards.
Lupia hopes that AISB “focuses on reconnecting with undergraduates,” he said. He wants undergraduates to “lead the charge,” and express what they wish to change at Lafayette in the FSL community and beyond.
“The meetings look at the status of what is being worked on [at the college],” Lupia said, describing the many changes at Lafayette with a strategic plan and a campus master plan underway.
From an alumni perspective, Lupia described the AISB position as “helping reconnect people through the college, whether that be attending reunion, working with Gateway Career Center, and learning what undergraduates are doing,” he said.
Every AISB meeting also includes a guest speaker from the college administration.
Lupia also said AISB will work with the administration to discuss potential long-term changes to fraternity and sorority life at the college.
But as for now, Lupia is "looking forward to representing the chapter," before meetings for AISB begin to occur in the near future.
